Cheoy Lee 48' JOSS
ON THE HARD

JOSS ready to go to sea.

Fast Cruising Hull Design: JOSS is designed as a fast cruising boat with a "modified full keel". The keels forefoot is cut away from the bow about 15' at which point the keel drops down and then ends just foward of the cockpit. The rudder is mounted on a skeg for protection and stability.

Solid Fiberglass Hull: JOSS' hull is solid fiberglass with no coring.

Barrier Coated Against Blisters: Cheoy Lee JOSS has never exhibited any hull blisters. In 2000, in preparation for a trip south JOSS' hull was stripped to the fiberglass after which 6 coats of vinylester barrier coat were applied. This was followed by 3 coats of Interprotect 2000 Barrier Coating.

Feathering MAX-PROP: JOSS has a 3 bladed feathering 21" MAX-PROP which adds considerably to her performance especially in light air.
